| ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR FILES: - send graphic actual size with the proper bleed as shown in the uploadable template. (9″ x 33.5″) - use spot / pantone colors, not process colors. Inks do not mix. - convert all text to outlines. - use no less than a 2 point stroke on outlined objects. - any screens or gradients should be no lower than 30% and no higher than 70%. - do not use any more than 2 colors in a gradient. - use different colors rather than shades of the same color. (for example, use pantone cool grey 7 instead of 50% black) see ink colors - send all support/image files that have been placed in the file. (.tif or .psd files) - keep all important design elements at least .5″ from the edge of the deck as shown in diagram below. |
| ADOBE PHOTOSHOP FILES: 4 COLOR PROCESS (CMYK): Files created in adobe photoshop will be printed as 4 color process (4 color process is the standard printing method that mixes cyan, magenta, yellow and black to create virtually any color. 4 color process is recommended when using photographs or a large amount of colors in your deck graphic. when using solid colors, we recommend using spot colors. (see ink colors) Files must be actual size – 9″ x 33.5″ including bleed. Resolution 300dpi – CMYK. |
| DECKS – SPOT COLOR: In Adobe Illustrator choose your colors from the PANTONE solid coated library. (Window > Swatch Libraries > PANTONE solid coated) All Pantone colors are available, the ink color chart below is a guideline for basic colors. If you do not request specific Pantone colors we will try to match your color using the color chart. |

4 color process is the standard printing method that mixes cyan, magenta, yellow and black to create virtually any color. 4 color process is recommended when using photographs or a large amount of colors in your deck graphic. when using solid colors, we recommend using spot colors.
